Posted in Acquisitions on 01/29/07 The Molpus Woodlands Group acquires 44,379 acres in Oklahoma Jackson, MS – The Molpus Woodlands Group, LLC, a timberland investment management organization, headquartered in Jackson, Mississippi, has completed the purchase of approximately 44,379 acres of timberland located in LeFlore and Pushmataha Counties in southeastern Oklahoma on behalf of an institutional investor. The transaction closed on January 25, 2007. The Molpus Woodlands Group acquires and manages timberland as an investment vehicle for corporate and public retirement systems, insurance companies, university endowments, foundations and private investors. The company focuses on ensuring long-term optimum returns on investments and practicing responsible forest stewardship. This purchase increases the Molpus Woodlands Group’s current acreage under management for clients to a total of 567,000 +/- acres located in seven states in the U. S.
